statement
When you start working, everybody is in your studio, the past, your friends, the art world, and above all, your own ideas, all are here. But as you continue creating, they start leaving, one by one, and you are left completely alone. Then if you are lucky, even you leave.

I love the dialogue that comes about between the forms at hand, the space they invite participation in, and my inner voice; listening, observing, and navigating towards the final realization of a piece. Every piece is an adventure, an exploration, and ultimately, a statement about art and what it means to me.I experiment with different material, but recently I have focused on metal, particularly steel. I am drawn to shapes that possess movement, or have some attraction to me, be it a mood, a mystery or some oddity that captures my attention. I think of them as signs for the journey ahead, beginnings.
Of course, like any artist, I love the tools involved with the process. But more than that, I love machines and the power they grant the creator that uses them. I think all my artwork reflects this basic aspect of my personality. All the pieces work as machines to create the images that carry the work to the minds and hearts of those that have the interest to see.
